Born on September 03, 1961; High School Graduation ('A' level) from Aitchison College, Lahore.
Holds a Bachelor's Degree (Civil Engineering) from Columbia University, New York, USA.
Joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan on October 31, 1992.
Served at the Headquarters as Head of Section (1994 & 2000-2002), and Director (January 2010 to June 2013).
Held several diplomatic posts in Pakistan's diplomatic missions abroad: Dubai (2002-2005), Washington (2005-2009) and London (24 June 2013 to January 2016).
Also held the charge of Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan, UK (London) for six months.
Served as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Senegal (February 2016 to August 2019) and also concurrently accredited to The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Cabo Verde and Sierra Leone.
Assigned as Special Envoy of the Prime Minister in September 2019.
Currently posted at Headquarters as Additional Foreign Secretary (Administration/Audit & Consular/Overseas Pakistanis/Special Projects).
Also serving as Director General, Foreign Service Academy (FSA), since 4th February 2021.
